About me and other info
I make a variety of Western and English bridles, with bosal hackamores being my specialty.
I use quality kangaroo leather lace to make my bridles. I hand dye most pieces in the brown/red color range, for blacks and other colors I use predyed lace.
I also use DMC floss in various colors for braided reins, accents, and bosals.
These are 1:9 and smaller scale miniatures, not bridles for real live, horses! Thanks!
Go to my MH$P ads to see my pricelist for bridles, email me about prices for halters.
Classic size bosal hackamore made for the Hollywood Dun It mold.
Browband knot made using
lark's head technique, same bridle.
Occasionally I will make a bridle similar to another piece, but I will only do this once to ensure each piece is as unique as possible. This bridle has tongue buckles as well as silver strap tips to make it different from its predecessor. Custom order.
Silver show bridle made for the Stone WPH. The bit is a Rio Rondo etched bit with a customized bead spacer glued on for decoration.
Pebbles scale braided curb with Rio Rondo etched bit.
And a Traditional scale braided curb with cast pewter Rio Rondo bit. This bridle was sold to a hobbyist in Switzerland!
English bridle with Grakle noseband, cast bit. Custom order.
Pony Hunter bridle with braided floss browband, custom made for the North Light New Forest Pony(custom by my sister). Note the stitchmarking on the crownpiece, and the jump ring bit(silver bead squished over the ends).
Black Hunter bridle made for the Breyer Strapless. Again a decorated jump ring bit is used(cheaper than a cast bit, and it looks better than a plain jump ring). I also try to use stitchmarking whenever possible as it gives a really nice finished look.
Braided curb bridle made for the Breyer Peruvian Paso, features silver "buttons" and slide loops which take the place of buckles, and mohair tassles on the browband. Fashioned after a real bridle I saw on a Peruvian Paso website. Sold on eBay.
